Global super power and religion

Mughal Empire was one of the biggest and longest lasting empires. Though they were Muslim, they also believed in the idea of religious tolerance. One of the main reasons Mughal Empire was so successful is because they were tolerant of other religion. Allowing other, like Hindus to practice their own religion under an Islamic rule. This truly helped their position and helped the Mughals to rule for many years.

However, in a world like today, where people stay on the internet more than they go to Church, Religion and global super power do not correlate. Today, government policies revolve around individuals right and freedom, without much consideration of religion. Yes, religion does have an impact on policies. However, to be a super power a nation or its' citizens do not need to believe in a particular religion. To be a super power, a nation needs to have a strong army, good relations with other countries, and most importantly have a just government.
