Global super power and religion

Mughal Empire was one of the biggest and longest lasting empires. Though they were Muslim, they also believed in the idea of religious tolerance. One of the main reasons Mughal Empire was so successful is because they were tolerant of other religion. Allowing other, like Hindus to practice their own religion under an Islamic rule. This truly helped their position and helped the Mughals to rule for many years.

However, in a world like today, where people stay on the internet more than they go to Church, Religion and global super power do not correlate. Today, government policies revolve around individuals right and freedom, without much consideration of religion. Yes, religion does have an impact on policies. However, to be a super power a nation or its' citizens do not need to believe in a particular religion. To be a super power, a nation needs to have a strong army, good relations with other countries, and most importantly have a just government.

Do you think the military has as big an effect on a countries ability to be a global superpower?

I do believe that it is important for a country to have a strong military in order to be a global super power. This is because, a nations strength is shown through its military. Yes, the world has developed in technology, and is finding new ways to show its strength and development. With computers being used frequently, one would think what is the use of a military? However, a military shows physical power. When in war a computer may be able to gain information, but it would not be able to stand up and physically fight for their nations. Countries still depend on physical man power for their security. According to American Live Wire, the top five military power are: United States, China, Russia, India, United Kingdom. This porters that in order to be a super power like United states, or rising super power like China and India, a country needs to have a well trained and numbering military. The United Nations, a global influential power, too, uses military in order to promote peace, and help people be secure. This shows how a military can be used for multiple purposes, such as: being seen as a threat, or seeing it as peace keeping group. Either way, in order to be an influential global power, a country needs a military.

- Everything was controlled by the government
- Since everything is focused on a group, people forget about the individual

USA and Democracy
  Pros:
 - Government is voted by the people through a majority vote
- helps to check corruption
-Can safely change government without much
- individuals are given freedom and rights.
Cons:
- The minority tend to be forgotten
- When standing up for elections the perspective government promises a lot, however, once elected these promises are merely fulfilled

What  makes a global superpower a global superpower!

To be a superpower a country must be: economically well off, have  good military defense, have a fair and powerful government, be a developed country with a good relation with other countries, be involved in export and import,  be a part of the United Nations.
