What are the responsibilities of an educated person? (University of Puget Sound)
With the opportunity to learn and be educated, there come certain responsibilities. One is to create a difference for the people around you. Since you are educated you will have a better job, better standard of living than many around you. If you have enough for yourself and a little extra you should use that money to help the people around you. Maybe there is a family next door having a hard time paying their bills, or maybe there is an old man who has needs a check up but doesn't have the money to go for that check up. You need to be the one helping the helpless and being their for the lonely. You need to be able to tell the right from the wrong. To stand up for what is right. If a person is getting bullied on the side of the road, you should be the one going out of your way to stop the fight. Though your life maybe busy with your new job, and family you may not have time to do little things that change other people's lives. However, you need to make the time for these little changes to take place. You need to be the one keeping the roads clean. If people throw trash, you need to be the one telling them to stop. You need to be the one to tell a police officer not to take a bribe. You need to be the one following the laws of the country, because you can read them, and there is no reason for you not to be follow them. For if you do follow the laws, you will be a role model for many. People will look up to you not just because you are educated but also because you follow what is required of every person.
